CTRL “R”: Formica®, FENIX® and Homapal® at Paris Design Week 2025
Broadview Materials will take part in Paris Design Week 2025 with its iconic brands – Formica®, FENIX®, and Homapal® – presenting CTRL “R” – Art and Materials, an immersive design exhibition in central Paris.

Created in collaboration with De Barros Concept and Hubler, and staged by S1.ngular, the exhibition explores the dynamic relationship between art, design, and material innovation — a key highlight of Paris Design Week.
An immersive journey through past, present, and future
CTRL “R” is inspired by the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + R — a symbol of refresh and reset. This concept runs throughout the exhibition, which is structured as a three-part journey exploring the evolution of decorative surfaces, from history to future-forward experimentation.
Zone 1: Heritage and Timeless Design
The journey begins with a look back at the origins of high-pressure laminate. This space celebrates the design history of Formica® Laminate, featuring iconic vintage furniture pieces that showcase the brand’s enduring influence on interiors throughout the 20th century.
Zone 2: Colour, Craft, and Creative Expression
The second zone is a visual timeline through the decades. Archways created with Formica® Laminate and Hubler materials lead visitors to a space with colour palettes representing different design eras. Sculptural podiums and ceiling features made with Formica, FENIX and Homapal materials highlight the creative possibilities of modern surface innovation.
Zone 3: Future Visions and Student Innovation
The final space showcases the winning entry from the 2025 Talents d’Archis design competition, organised by Ynov Campus and Formica Group. Titled “Tangara”, the concept by Victoire Laoué (Ynov Bordeaux) envisions a 4-star hotel room as a poetic retreat — blending organic shapes, warm tones, and a cocoon-like atmosphere. The room is brought to life using Formica and Homapal laminates by De Barros Concept.
