Homapal® lights up Leclerc Chaussures’ new stores
Leclerc Chaussures wanted to revamp both its store layouts and its brand image
This ambitious project, brilliantly led by VEILLEUX atelier design, was a resounding success, and the new image has already been rolled out in the banner’s locations in Lévis, Quebec City and Chicoutimi.
The stores now offer a modern, bright and refined environment that effectively showcases the products while providing an intuitive and enjoyable customer experience. The spatial organisation promotes fluid circulation and facilitates the discovery of the different collections, contributing to a natural and customer-friendly shopping experience.
The concept also incorporates an under-shelf lighting system combined with height-adjustable shelves. This approach allows the layout to be quickly adapted to different shoe and boot sizes, depending on the season, collections and commercial needs, without sacrificing the look or functionality of the displays.
VEILLEUX atelier design was looking to create a distinctive, stand-out image and was seeking a material that was both flexible enough to be curved and durable enough to meet the demands of a commercial environment. Homapal® metal laminate, in Brushed Brass (M6423), was the ideal solution.
“On this project, Homapal® metal laminate was a true creative catalyst. It allowed us to create a strong, elegant and contemporary visual signature that offers the flexibility needed to design fluid, functional and durable furniture. It sets off the product without overshadowing it, which was at the heart of our design intention,” says Sonia Veilleux, designer and owner of VEILLEUX atelier design.
Homapal® metal laminate was used as kick plates in the furniture’s structural elements, including the display tables, shelves, checkout counter and fitting benches. It plays a central role in the visual identity of the concept, and its brushed brass finish adds an elegant, luminous and distinctive touch that catches the eye and adds a touch of refinement to the whole.
The flexibility of Homapal® laminate also made it possible to integrate curved shapes into the furniture, to promote fluid, intuitive and safe circulation, while fostering a warm, inviting and decidedly upscale atmosphere.
This renovation project illustrates how the right choice of materials, combined with a customer-centric approach, updated the brand's image while meeting the practical demands of retail.
