Bringing Natural Beauty to Hospitality Design

Hotel, resort and restaurant guests enjoy distinctive, immersive experiences that transport them from their everyday lives. One way to accomplish this is with biophilic design, which captures the essence of nature to bring an inviting sensibility to modern hospitality spaces.

Layered Materials for a Curated, Grounded Aesthetic

Our design team created three biophilic palettes to inspire cozy and luxurious hospitality designs. Each concept presents layered materials in natural colors, woodgrains, stone looks, fabrics, metallics and textures ready to define signature spaces. Every component builds on the next for a multi-faceted and grounded natural look. In addition to showcasing a range of Formica® Brand products, these palettes also highlight Arpa Tuet Deep Surfaces, Homapal® Metal Laminates and FENIX® Innovative Materials to enhance your design toolkit.

The Earth and Sky Palette

The engaging blend of warm greens and cool blues in this design palette complements the woodgrain, stone and fabric elements for an approachable biophilic concept. FENIX® Verde Kitami and Verde Comodoro add super matte, anti-fingerprint surfacing that lets other selections take center stage. The soft stone patterns provide a feeling of strength and stability while maintaining a tie to the natural world.

You’ll notice Arpa Tuet in Caravella Light, a deeply ribbed surface that adds a sense of movement to the overall composition. This reimagined, high-end woodgrain laminate emulates a reed-like texture to impart a high-end, decorative aesthetic on accent walls and cabinet fronts. Not only is this eye-catching surface durable, but at one-eighth the weight of wood panels, it also can be used on ceilings to make spaces feel more intimate.
